Efter regimen tog över Allendes regering i Chile i Sep 1973 sändes en grupp människor, inklusive Allendes ministrar och närmaste vänner, till Dawson Island. En plats som ligger nästan i slutet av kontinenten. Filmen beskriver hur de lyckades överleva och även hur de behandlades av soldaterna och hur de flera gånger flydde från döden. Filmen är baserad på en bok av Sergio Bitar, som fängslades där. Filmen visar ett stycke av historia som inte får glömas bort av varken dem själva, chilenarna och de människor som kämpar för demokrati och rättvisa världen över. After the army took over Allende’s government –Chile, Sept. 1973- a group of people, including Allende’s ministers and closer friends, were sent to Dawson Island, a place located almost at the end of the continent. The movie pictures how they managed to survive and also the way they were treated by the soldiers and how in several opportunities they escaped from death.
